All rules of the club continue to apply on all our platforms, there are some additional rules (or ones that need to be emphasised) that apply to the forum specifically. I will be monitoring the forums on a regular basis and all rules will be enforced.
Special Note: In line with the Data Protection Act of 1998, GDPR (UK) and the UKCCIS guidelines, minors (children under the age of 13 years of age) will be allowed access to the site & forums and will be assigned a specialist "Minor" role which will provide a Garden Wall approach to the site and its content.
Special Note: If an issue is brought to the site moderators or an Admin, their decision is final and cannot be appealed. Forum and Site use rules will be the overriding facilitator due to the different regulations and responsibilities that need to adhere to.
1. The Basics
1.1 Keep it clean, online. This includes images, texts, links etc.
1.2. Keep it respectful. Nobody wants to argue online, and we don't want to end one. It isn't fun.
1.3. If you are not sure, then ask!
2. Content
2.1 Use the relevant sections for discussions and conversations, if you are not sure which topic to put it in, then use the "Clubhouse" and if it needs to be moved, a Moderator/Admin will move it.
2.2 If you are using the Trading Post, then ensure that you keep your advert updated and only use the provided contact methods (via the site) and DO NOT post personal data. Once the item has been sold/traded, close the thread or reply to it as "SOLD"
2.3 FAQ sections are open to everyone and will be used to build up information, please ensure you are accurate when replying and include links to rules/resources where necessary
2.4 Do not post affiliate or referral links belonging to yourself or other websites, without the consent of the Admin first
2.5 You must not post links to illegal downloads or copyrighted material such as movies and music.
2.6 With all forums we are held responsible for all posts so please beware and think before you post.
2.7 No Posting of Personal Contact Information
This is For your safety, Any public posting of any personal contact information will be removed from the general forum.
2.8 No Trolling - Do not post comments which have the sole purpose to cause an argument. You may express your opinion on a topic, however abuse of anyone who doesn't have the same opinion as you will not be tolerated.
2.9 No All Caps - This is seen as shouting and any post like this will be removed. It is also classed as rude Please don't do it.
2.10 Remember - what you write in the forum is public -
Always re-read and Preview your post before you hit the Submit button. Although the Forum is only open to people who have registered with the site and once you've posted something you have 2 minutes to edit it, remember to only write what you won't be embarassed or get in trouble for later.
2.11 Spamming of any type is not allowed - Whereas some forums feel the urge to spam their way to the top we feel that only good honest post makes a forum successful. Any spam will be removed and the offender warned then banned.
Disciplinary Action
A three-strike system is in effect for any user failing to fully comply with the rules of the forums/site.
First Offence: A warning.
Second Offence: Suspended from the forum for 1 week
Third Offence: A permanent ban.
Anyone who receives a second or third strike will be reported to the Secretary & committee, including all information/posts/data as required. Further action may then be taken, which is at the sole discretion of the elected committee.
Complaints
We take pride in our forum however there may be times when some of our members or guest may feel upset. If this is the case please contact an Admin, clearly stating what you are upset about. If you can take a screenshot to back up your claim, then please do.
Anyone found to be abusing the complaints system will be removed from the forum and subject to further action as may be deemed appropriate by the elected committee.
